Fine vegetarian dining just got even better with the new additions to Prashad’s menu!
Thursday, 27th February, 2014
We celebrated our (slightly overdue!) one year anniversary of moving to our new-look, larger restaurant last week – and what better way to start our second year than with some new additions to our menu?!
It was tough deciding which dishes we should change, especially as we know that each dish is someone’s favourite, but we want our customers to be able to experience the whole range of traditional, vegetarian Gujarati cuisine we have to offer. So, we bit the bullet and will no longer be serving Pea Kachori, Mixed Veg Pakora, Kalva, Paneer Masala, Spinach and Potato curry, or the Kidney Bean Rajma.
The good news is, we will now be serving lots of delicious new dishes, including….
Kandha bhajia – Light, delicate, crisp onion bhajis tossed in chickpea flour
Dhal Kachori – A rich lentil pate with notes of garam masala encased in a crisp casing
Bataka vada – A garlic and chilli mashed potato dough ball, simply exquisite
Barella Marcha – Red pepper chilli crammed with garam masala infused mashed potato
Lassan Paneer Tikka – Tandoored fresh chunky paneer (Indian cheese) cubes marinated in a unique ginger, garlic and lime marinade served with a sharp crisp seasonal chutney
Naan Bhaji – A rich complex mashed mixed vegetable curry, both richly and delicately spiced, served with garlic naan strips
Bombay bataka – A bold flavoured dish, fluffy potatoes cooked with a mustard seed infused tomato base adding a little tangy twist with tamarind
Bhinda – A slightly dry dish of cubed ladyfingers gently cooked with a fenugreek seed infused onion and tomato base
Mattar paneer – carefully marinated and textured paneer (Indian cheese) and peas cooked wthin a delicate bay leaf infused onion base
Homemade honey and saffron ice cream, vegan ice cream and seasonal fruit sorbet
