Chef’s Table Dinner with Masterchef’s Radha Rü and Chef Minal

We’re so excited to share the next phase of our collaboration with Chef Radha Rü; an evening with the 2022 Masterchef finalist and Prashad’s very own Head Chef Minal Patel.

Calendars at the ready

Join us for our Chef’s Table dinner on Wednesday 21st September from 7pm. We’ll be hosting you in our Grand dining room, where you’ll enjoy a special edition menu, including a seasonal twist on our collaboration dish, plus a Q&A with the two talented chefs. Spaces are limited for this intimate event, and are priced at £55pp. The price includes access to the event, the specially curated menu and a cocktail designed by Radha, exclusively for Prashad. You’ll also have a chance to take home signed Prashad cook-books, our house blend Garam Masala to amp up your home cooking, and a signed recipe card from Radha. Fancy it? On the menu

Once you’ve arrived and been seated in the private, upstairs dining room, Minal and Radha will give you an introduction you to the evenings menu, over an amuse bouche. Get a preview of our fine-dining Tasting Menu as we kick off the evening with our Sanku cones, Minal’s twist on a traditional Indian samosa, packed with a gorgeous sweetcorn, mustard and garlic filling, served with two seriously flavour-filled, homemade chutneys.

Tuck into the main event; Kusmanda Makhani, a seasonal take on the delicious collaboration dish created by the two chefs. As we’ll be heading into autumn, we’ll be cooking with our vegetable of choice, locally grown pumpkin. Marinated in Minal’s house blend masala, we fire up the Tandoor and roast the pumpkin over an open flame. Taste what you’ve seen on screen, with Radha’s rich and creamy Makhani sauce, which comes with the Masterchef seal of approval – John Torode and Gregg Wallace both count themselves as fans. Topping that off, we’ve got Samphire fries, a swirl of crème fraîche, and micro-herbs to bring it all together.

Shake it up

On the first day Radha stepped into Prashad in her chef whites, rather than as a family friend and customer, she sat down with Minal to come up with some ideas and talk about their love of Indian cooking. As they sipped on mugs of hot Ginger Chai (a staple here at Prashad), it reminds both chefs of the same thing: home. With the inspiration right in front of her, Radha took to the bar to whip up her own version, with a twist. Shaken over ice, the tea is blended with vodka and homemade ginger syrup, before serving with a dusting of green cardamom (Minal’s favourite spice). Forget Espresso Martinis, hands up for a round off Ginger Chai Mar-tea-nis! Designated driver or just not a drinker? Let us know and we’ll shake up an alcohol-free version especially for you. Members of our team will be on hand throughout the evening for anything you need, and to take any additional drink orders.

Save room for dessert

Finish off the evening with Minal’s indulgent Gujilawa, with layers of golden filo pastry wrapped around toasted nuts and spices, served with our homemade ice cream. As you tuck in, our chefs will join you to share their kitchen secrets and stories. Want to know what cooking on TV is really like? Need to know how to bring out the flavour in your home cooking? Ask away!
