Hold your next Charity Fundraising Event at Prashad and raise up to £500 – Like these Batley Grammar School boys did!
Friday, 20th September, 2013
The parents of Sam and Theo, who live locally in Gomersal and are regulars at the restaurant approached us about hosting the event and we were happy to oblige. They told us about all the hard work the boys had been doing to raise money for the trip including car boot sales, car washing, sweet stalls and a Tombola at the Little Gomersal May Day Fayre. They had to keep coming up with new ideas and thought Prashad would be the perfect solution!
We served a four course meal at a discounted price per head so that the boys could raise funds by marking up the tickets and donated prizes for a raffle and silent auction (including a place on one of our sold out cooking courses at The Cooking School in Dean Clough Mills, Halifax!)
The boys did an amazing job of selling so many tickets and took over the whole downstairs of the restaurant on a Wednesday evening which created a great atmosphere. It was fantastic to see so many new faces and we hope to welcome them all back to Prashad again soon!
Since moving to Drighlington last December we have made every effort to continue the community spirit we’ve always had at Prashad. It’s really important to us to get involved in and give back to the local community, which is why we sponsor local sports teams and support local charities. We would love to host more fundraising events like this so please do get in touch if you are looking for a venue!
